Participants interested in attending the Pre- Conference workshop are requested to pay the combined registration fee for the conference + workshop ONLY AFTER getting confirmation about their selection for the workshop. If they are not selected, they can still attend the main conference in Bangalore after registering for the conference alone.

We are organizing a two-day pre-conference workshop on Transmission Electron Microscopy and single particle cryo-EM.
Workshop will cover lectures and as well as practical sessions on the following topics.

Glow discharge of carbon coated and holey carbon grids

Negative staining TEM sample preparation, grid insertion and visualization with Talos 120C

Vitrobot, grid freezing, demonstration of the assembly of autogrid, loading of autogrids into the cassette and loading of cassette into the microscope.

TEM and Cryo-EM data collection – alignment, evaluating good images/ice, automated data collection (LatitudeS)

As it involves practical sessions, we have limited the number of participants to 15.We will give preference to participants who are currently in the process of learning the steps in cryo-EM, want to become more proficient and are planning to attendEMSI 2025. The last date of application is June 15, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified individually.
